READ...
...and understand the bills recently introduced in the Florida House and Senate.
HB 451 - Forced Sterilization:
would require every dog and cat over 4 months of age to be sterilized,
unless they meet highly restrictive criteria for exemption
SB 2002 / HB 1249 (Identical) - Commercial Dog Breeding:
Strict standards and regulations for owners of 10 dogs, even if they are spayed/neutered,
including unwarranted search and penalty of up to one year in jail for first offence
SB 288 -- Revisions to Lemon Law:
unnecessary revisions that would be damaging to responsible dog breeders
HB 189, and a companion bill, SB 922 -- Breed Specific Legislation
HEED...
...the realities of how they will unfairly penalize
and eliminate small, responsible,
ethical hobby breeders and weaken the breeds.
PROCEED...
...by writing your legislators, telling them you
want them to oppose these bills and why, and give them your feedback on better solutions.
